FAQ I want to disconnect my phone line, can you still do back to base monitoring?

You want to disconnect your Phone line (sometimes called “Land Line”) and you still want to have Back to Base alarm monitoring.

Well the short answer is…Yes you can do this and still have back to base monitoring.

These is particularly good if you have a Naked DSL service or want to be NBN ready.

How? Well these are the options.
1. Mobile phone add on kit.
2. Network add on kit.
3. Mobile phone and Network add on kit.

 How does it work?
Option 1
Mobile phone add on kit, sometimes called GSM or 4G Dialler.
Guardian Gecko can install a Mobile phone add on kit that will work with your existing alarm panel and still be able to send signals to the monitoring centre.
Included with this kit is the necessary SIM card, Power supply and back up battery, with its own enclosure (box)  also all call costs are included.
For a few extra dollars per month you can still have peace of mind.

Option 2
Network add on kit, sometimes called IP Dialler.
Guardian Gecko can install a IP Dialler add on kit that will work with your existing alarm panel and still be able to send signals to the monitoring centre.
Included with this kit is the necessary Power supply, phone connection cables/plugs with its own enclosure (box). There are no call costs at all.
All that is required is that you have a working Internet Service in your premises.
NOTE: A back up power supply is recommended for your Internet Modem/Router such as a UPS.
For a few extra dollars per month you can still have peace of mind and without the call cost you may not even notice the extra charge.

 Option 3
Mobile phone and Network add on kit.
Guardian Gecko can install a Mobile phone add on kit with back up IP dialler that will also work with your existing alarm panel and still be able to send signals to the monitoring centre.
Included with this kit is the necessary SIM card, Power supply, phone connection cables/plugs, with its own enclosure (box)  also all call costs are included.
Primary communications is via the Network IP Dialler, then if you internet fails via the Mobile Phone/GSM Dialler.
